This January, Blueprint for All will welcome the 2021/22 Deloitte bursary recipients for an afternoon of networking, advice and insightful talks from last year’s cohort.
Last October, as part of Black History Month, 41 students of diverse ethnic heritage were awarded a bursary by Deloitte to support their ambitions to carve out a successful future.
In this private event, bursary recipients will have the chance to hear the experiences of previous awardees, such as advice that helped them to achieve excellent grades in their degrees and what kept them encouraged. They will also hear about how the funding has helped shape their studies and professional life after university. This is a great opportunity for current cohort to reflect on what they are looking to gain from the programme and how Deloitte and Blueprint for All will benefit their degree.
During the event, the participants will have the opportunity to engage with other students outside of their own universities that are also part of the programme – which hopes to be a great way to find out other perspectives and network among their peers.
What is the Deloitte Bursary?
Each student was awarded £2,250 per year for three years of study at six universities across the UK, as well as a place on a three-year programme built around the students. This includes regular support from a Deloitte buddy, regular contact with senior Deloitte sponsors, invitations to participate in paid-for opportunities at Deloitte’s Spring into Deloitte and Summer Vacation Scheme, as well as the opportunity to participate in an upskilling session on the Deloitte assessment process.
