The London Legacy Development Corporation is excited to continue their partnership with the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust to support talented young people into design and architectural opportunities being generated on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Building on previous years, there are expected to be up to 15 paid (London Living Wage) work placements available for undergraduates studying architecture or related fields.
The placements will last a minimum of 6 weeks and normally take place from the end of July to early September 2019. Most placements will be hosted by design and architectural firms working on East Bank, a brand new destination for London with world-class culture and education at its heart welcoming new sites for Sadler’s Wells, BBC Music and the V&A (in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution), as well as University College London and University of the Arts London’s London College of Fashion.
Recruitment for placements in the Summer are expected to launch in May 2019 and firms are particularly keen to receive applications from people who have lived in and have undertaken their GCSEs in schools within the boroughs of Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. To register interest please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Within your application please state that you heard about the opportunity through the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust.
