We are excited to launch our new digital toolkit, A guide to publishing, developed in partnership with the prestigious publishing house Hachette. The toolkit is a fantastic free resource designed to provide information and guidance about what publishing is, careers in publishing, and pathways into the profession.
Like many other professions, although diversity is increasing, there remains more room for the industry to reflect the rich diversity within the UK. The toolkit has all the information any person of any age or background might need; and will be just as useful to both those interested in finding out more about the industry and those who are already interested in pursuing a career in publishing.
The Toolkit has been developed as part of our Pathways to Professions programme, which is focused on supporting young people aged 13 to 15 with knowledge, skills and opportunities to build their career aspirations. It is part of a suite of careers resources, including our guides to Getting into Architecture and Getting into Law launched last month.
Hachette is a long-term supporter of the Trust and a key contributor on the Pathways to Professions programme. We are tremendously grateful to their amazing team for sharing their stories, journeys, insight and practical advice within this toolkit.
