Creative Industries Pathway

Workshops, mentoring opportunities and work experience for young people of diverse ethnic heritage in creative industries.

Are you interested in starting a career in the creative industry? Not quite sure where to start and could do with a little guidance and direction?  Our new Creative Pathways course could be perfect for you.

You can join in at any time and commit to as many sessions as you want.

This FREE online course consists of bi-weekly online workshops, careers talks run by leading industry experts, digital resources and access to mentoring. The opportunity will benefit young people looking to enter or develop their career within film, fashion, design, marketing, music, arts, TV, production and advertising. The most important factor for a successful application will be a desire to enter or further your career within the creative industry.

To be eligible to join our Creative Pathways programme you must be aged 18-30 and of diverse ethnic heritage living in the UK.

The core modules will cover:

  • Networking and personal branding
  • Finding opportunities, work experience, and internships
  • Career inspiration from professional role models
  • CV writing, job applications, and interview skills
  • Building motivation, confidence, and wellbeing

The course will also cover:

  • How to build a portfolio and showcase your work
  • The pros and cons of self-employment versus being employed

Workshops will take place during working hours so this course will suit those not currently in 9 to 5 employment.

Having a mentor, hearing from industry experts and seeing behind the scenes really inspired me. I feel incredibly lucky to have found my passion and be able to follow my dream.
