Creative Industries Pathway

Are you interested in starting a career in the creative industry

If so, our new Creative Pathways course could be for you.

Sponsored by American Express our brand new Creative Pathways course is designed for 18–30-year-olds seeking career development and exposure to this vibrant industry.

Starting in October 2021, the course consists of monthly virtual workshops and careers talks run by leading industry experts, plus the opportunity to apply for mentoring and work experience.

The core modules will cover:

  • Introduction to the programme
  • CV writing, job applications, and interview skills
  • Networking and personal branding
  • Finding opportunities, work experience, and internships
  • Building motivation, confidence, and wellbeing
  • Career inspiration from professional role models

The course will also cover:

  • How to build a portfolio and showcase your work
  • The pros and cons of self-employment versus being employed

This is course will suit young people looking to enter or develop their career within film, fashion, design, marketing, music, arts, TV, production and advertising.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the course you must be aged 18-30, living in the UK, and from a BAME (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic) background. The most important factor for your successful application will be a desire to enter or further your career within the finance or creative industries.

Workshops will take place during working hours so this course will suit those not currently in employment, although that is not a pre-requisite to apply.
