This toolkit encompasses everything from piano presets to aggro synths, latch lockers, plastic hangers, metallophones, and more. With each purchase of the Original Media Toolkit, 100% of the profits have been directed towards Blueprint for All, enabling us to continue our vital work in supporting creatives from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Representation in the creative industry is a pressing issue that requires our collective attention. According to a study conducted by Create London and the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (PEC), as of 2018, only 12.6% of individuals in the UK’s creative industries were from diverse ethnic backgrounds, while comprising 40.2% of the overall London population. This disparity is reflective of the challenges faced by marginalised communities in accessing opportunities within the sector.
Additionally, the Creative Diversity Network (CDN) reported that in 2019, representation in key creative roles within the UK television industry stood at just 7.8%. These statistics shed light on the urgency of our mission to create pathways for individuals from diverse backgrounds to thrive in the creative sectors.
