Throughout the programme the Blueprint for All team will help students gain a greater understanding of how they can link their education to their future career aspirations. Giving them insight into the different careers available.
As part of our Pathways to Professions in sixth forms we were joined by Adam, the Area Sales and Operations Manager at JD at Newham Sixth form. Adam delivered a powerful presentation about his career journey, offering invaluable career advice to our young people of diverse ethnic heritages.
Two words to describe the workshop?
The learning doesn’t stop there.
We appreciate that real like tangible experience are valuable for our students. Continuing our work with students from Newham Sixth form, we took them to Morris+Company – an Architecture Studio based in Hackney.
All of our students are in their second year of a L3 Art and Design, we allowed them to explore their creativity by creating models and practicing core architectural skills. From this they were able to see the full process of a project, start to finish.
Do sixth form students have the support they need?
“We’ve heard time and time again that schools with sixth forms are struggling to provide students with adequate support on careers”
