Now you may have heard about a digital transformation. Well, we are happy to announce that we are creating a careers platform for young people of diverse ethnic heritages – My Blueprint for All. Why? Blueprint for All wanted to create useful content that our young people can learn and feel inspired from. We are going to give you a sneak preview of everything that has been going on behind the scenes…
A Day in the Life
For the first of our content, we have been working with some of our partners to create a series of ‘A Day in the life’. From Senior Designers in fashion, Account Executives in media agencies to Co-founders of charities, we are bringing you it all. We wanted to encapsulate what it is like to be within these roles and help our young people visualise where they want to place themselves within the working world.
Who are these people and where do they work? Well, you will just have to wait and find out.
Next on the agenda? The ‘how to’ content
Our content doesn’t stop there, we wanted to create a range of ‘how to’ videos that allow you to take a step-by-step journey for things such as creating a CV or making connections. The bright and insightful animations have been carefully put together and narrated by our very own Hermione Penny, Programmes Manager at Blueprint for All.
The welcome video
It was a NEED that we had a ‘welcome video’ on our website to really project how this platform can help you, as a young person of diverse heritage trying to break into the working world. We took two inspiring stories from past participants to show how dreams can become reality. Now in the spirit of all hands-on deck, we involved some of our Blueprint employees and participants to be extras in our short clip – we even had a special guest, Sir Keith Ajegbo, Chair of the Board of Trustees. As a Head Teacher in a past life, we got him to act as a teacher in our film.
The Podcast…
The working world has drastically changed. People are creating new pathways and paving the way for new industries. That is why we thought we need a podcast. We need a podcast that will host a group of people with niche roles. The sky is the limit and sometimes the box you are put into in life needs to be broken. Our host Maria-Faith Mendoza, Outreach and Engagement Manager at Blueprint for All, did an amazing job of connecting with our guests, and all I am going to say is that you won’t want to miss out on this.
You may even see Maria feature in one of our ‘day in the life’ videos but shhhh… you didn’t hear that from me.
