Type: Fundraising

Over the last few months Blueprint for All has had support from some incredible individuals and organisations. From August’s Vitality Big Half – which saw #TeamBlueprintforAll smash their target, raising £15,000 and counting –  to treks, iron mans and raffles. Read about some of these inspiring efforts below.

James Harkin takes on the Staffordshire Half Ironman

James Harkin recently took on the mighty Staffordshire Ironman 70.3 and several smaller events leading up to this. This Ironman consisted of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile cycle and a half marathon, all in support of Friends of the Elderly and Blueprint for All. James’ dedication and perseverance over the last year to complete these events raised £1,895.00.

“I know that I have been fortunate to grow up in a privileged position and this is part of the reason I have taken up this challenge in the hope that I can raise some money to help fight the issues that are currently faced by others of my generation” – James Harkin, Blueprint for All fundraiser

South London Makers Market gets creative

South London Makers Market ran both a raffle and talk as part of their ongoing commitment to change.

Entrants had the chance to win a variety of goods from small businesses in the raffle, with 100% of the proceeds going towards Blueprint for All. The founders said ‘having conversations with many of the incredible small business owners we’ve worked with over the past year, we’ve heard from many that one of one reason they decided to set up their own brand was because of racism and discrimination they experienced in traditional workplaces. They felt that running their own business and being their own boss was the only route they could take to succeed. Knowing that and hearing about these experiences first-hand we wanted to find a local charity to support’

The talk consisted of a candid chat between both founders on their experience of running their small business – with 100% of tickets costs donated towards Blueprint for All. We are proud to have local organisations showing their support as we work together to create real change.

#TeamBlueprintforAll smashes fundraising targets from the Vitality Big Half

We want to thank all of those that completed The Vitality Big Half in August on #TeamBlueprintforAll. The day saw more than 10,000 participants united on the streets of London. Our determined team spanned some of the brilliant organisations and individuals that work with us – consisting of SevenHills lululemon, HTA Design, JTP, The Move Studios (need to get the rest from Suzie). The support amongst the team internally ensured everything came together on the day, with Move Crew founder Christian Lewis-Pratt leading a #TeamBlueprintforAll training session and @lululemonuk helping everyone look the part by donating kit. All of the hours of training and fundraising efforts paid off and #TeamBlueprintforAll surpassed their target, raising an incredible £15,000 and counting.

Millie Lewis solo treks the Scottish Highlands

Millie Lewis, who works for our partners at Cayote Software, decided to solo trek the West Highland Way (96miles/154km) in just under a week for Blueprint for All. This challenge along the Scottish Highlands helped Millie raise an impressive £1,055 towards our work – proving you only need one individual to make a difference!

NEOUS launch their We Are Human campaign

We are also thrilled to have been supported by luxury fashion brand NEOUS in their We Are Human campaign – which celebrates the importance of individuality and uniqueness. 100% of proceeds from each shoe they have created, sold, goes towards our work, with the option to donate via the NEOUS We Are Human Just Giving Page, which you can visit here. Keep posted for a NEOUS roundup on our socials soon to see the campaign in action.

We want to thank all of those who have recently fundraised for Blueprint for All and equally to everyone who supported these initiatives by donating.

Whether you are a group or an individual, a runner or a maker, choosing to support our work will go towards creating a fairer and more inclusive society where everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity and support to succeed.

We look forward to celebrating future fundraisers soon!
