Design a tote bag for schuh!

This winter, Blueprint for All x schuh are launching a unique competition. Schuh wants to collaborate with any graphic designers, artists, or creative types to assemble a bespoke charity tote bag that will be sold online and in-store. Your job is to create the design that will be chosen for the bags and selected by our panel of judges. It’s time to get those creative juices flowing!

As well as this transformative exposure, the winner will receive a £1,500 cash prize.

The design theme should:

Design requirements

  • The tote bag itself is 13×15 inches.
  • Please limit to the use of two colours if possible as this is a more planet-friendly way to print.
  • Please credit yourself in the design.
  • Please leave a printable area below your design for additional information to be added by the schuh design team, i.e. logos and supporting copy.
  • The bag will be printed double-sided.

Entry requirements 

All entrants must be:

  • Aged 18-30
  • Have a Diverse Ethnic Heritage Identity
  • Have attended a state school for secondary and post-16 education

Important information

  • The competition is free to enter.
  • Only one entry per person is permitted.

Submission information

  • Artwork to be submitted by 6th December 2021.
  • Please send artwork to storemarketing@schuh.co.uk with “Blueprint For All Tote Bag Design Entry” in the subject line. Your data may be shared with Blueprint for All as they may seek to contact you about future programmes and promotions such as this
  • Entrants should submit final digital designs only in PDF and vector file format.
  • Please also send a short paragraph about your design.

Winner details

  • The winner will be selected by a panel of judges from schuh and Blueprint For All and notified by 8th December 2021.
  • The winning design will be printed on a tote bag which will be sold in schuh stores and online.
  • The winner will also receive a £1,500 cash prize.

All the profits generated from the sale of these bags will be donated back to Blueprint For All to continue to help us support young people and communities from minority backgrounds, provide tangible opportunities that enable them to thrive, whilst driving systemic change in organisations and society.

The tote bag competition continues our ongoing partnership with schuh, as we work together to foster diverse talent. Not only does this innovative approach support our work, but directly allows one of our young people to propel their career and inspire others, by having their design both seen and bought nationally.
