Blueprint for All Programmes

Our programmes span three main areas:

Careers: We work with schools, universities, community groups and employers to inspire and enable young people from diverse ethnic backgrounds, aged 13-30 to pursue the career of their choice. From career advice to support gaining skills, qualifications and the critical foundations required to ensure professional success, we aid young people on their journey to a fulfilling and successful career.

Communities: We run programmes that support community groups working with people from diverse ethnic backgrounds to maximise their impact and make positive changes for local people. Our BME Network supports over 120 small voluntary and community groups, and our Community Leadership Academy provides learning and development tailored to the needs of small and micro charities that are led by or serve people from diverse ethnic backgrounds. In partnership with other national and local charities, our Love Sex Life project challenges inequalities in access to and provision of sexual health services for diverse ethnic communities in Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham.

This role is a key role to creatively and confidently working with existing programmes strands and new programmes and projects that we have.

Purpose of this post

The role of the Senior Programmes Coordinator will be to coordinate a portfolio of funded programmes. They will also line manage the programmes coordinators or officers assigned to them. The senior programmes coordinator is responsible for the planning and delivery of their portfolio of programmes, including task allocation and delivery monitoring of the programmes coordinators and officers. They will create and complete programmes trackers and will participate in day-to-day delivery partnership relationship management and effective spending of the assigned programme budget. This post will draft reports for funded programmes, participate in programmes fundraising and continuous improvement and evaluation.

  • Coordinating and deliver on an assigned portfolio of programmes
  • Holding some day-to-day programmes partner relationships
  • Line managing programmes coordinators and officers
  • Planning, spending, and tracking programmes spend
  • Facilitating and implementing programme trackers
  • Feeding ideas into programmes continuous improvement
  • Delivery and facilitation on assigned programmes portfolio
  • Preparing copy to feed into reports for funded programmes portfolio
  • Task allocation to staff delivering in your programmes portfolio and in your wider strand
  • Collecting, processing, and reviewing some programmes data

General Matters

  • Keep abreast of developments, changes and best practice in the fields related to assigned programme portfolio, and wider inclusion as it relates to the charity’s mission.
  • Knowledge of programme support where participants are from diverse heritage backgrounds.
  • Undertake any other duties which may arise from time to time, corresponding with he scope of the post and within the capabilities of the post holder.

  • Supporting with the organisations digital transformation by providing feedback and research to influence the platform build.
