Early this month, Blueprint for All entertained their first Architecture Advisory Board meeting of 2022. Established in January 2017, the board provides expert input to help us to develop industry relevant ideas and programmes for supporting our participants from diverse ethnic groups

This month we were joined by Neil Pinder of Homegrown Plus, Helen Taylor from Architecture practice Scott Brownrigg spoke about apprenticeships in architecture. We also spoke to some of the Blueprint for All programmes team. Libby Taylor (Programmes Officer), spoke about our Connecting People and Places Programme as well as Simone Dos Santos (Programmes Officer), speaking about our Building Futures Programme.

Libby, updated the board, on how in phase 1 of the Connecting People and Places, we have acquired several young researchers to create 17 case studies of heritage sites that are significant to local communities of diverse ethnic heritage. From here we have used insights to create a report on how communities, the heritage and built environment sectors can collaborate.

Simone spoke about delivering the first two workshops of the year for Building Futures and Apprenticeships in Architecture with Scott Brownrigg, to tie in with National Apprenticeship Week and employability with urban and HTA. We have CV, Portfolio, Visualisation and Skills workshops to come and toolkits which we are developing with our partners.
