Deloitte x Blueprint for All have paired their students with a mentor, using Guider as part of our mentor programme, which is helping young people get into the world of work and beyond.
Using our digital mentoring platform, Guider, we have allocated a mentor to each of our Deloitte Bursary Award students. Though regular meetups, the mentors and mentees have built a long-lasting strong relationship, with mentors providing guidance on careers and how to develop your skills for the workplace. Which for one of our students, this has been very influential on their experience, they told us:
“Meeting with my mentor frequently, I have been able to gain amazing advice toward my uni work, daily life organising and a lot of support. My mentor listens to me and gives me valuable and honest advice.”
Having access to a Deloitte employee, has helped mentees learn how to better equip themselves for their professional futures. One student voiced how they have received in-depth knowledge on how to develop their career and tips on which route to take and how to achieve their goals.
This spring, we have arranged a spring lunch, where students have chance to meet their mentors face to face over a meal. We are very proud to see the development of our students as they continue their journey with their mentors as part of our bursary programme.
