#BeMoreInclusive – A ground-breaking recruitment partnership

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to enter and progress in their career of choice. But with just 7% of registered architects coming from ethnically diverse backgrounds, something needs to change.

Recruitment partner urban

In 2020 we launched a ground-breaking partnership with architectural recruitment specialist urban. Our #BeMoreInclusive programme makes the important connection between skilled people from under-represented groups and employers in the built environment who want to foster a diverse and inclusive workforce.

One year on

The #BeMoreInclusive initiative

Through our award-winning #BeMoreInclusive programme, urban connect part 1 architecture graduates on our Building Futures programme with job opportunities in the built environment; supporting candidates with detailed CV advice and interview preparation.

When a Blueprint for All candidate is hired, urban ask the employer to donate to Blueprint for All.

The #BeMoreInclusive programme provides an accessible way for employers to take that conscious step towards creating positive change.

In addition, whenever urban places a more experienced candidate in an organisation that supports the Blueprint for All, urban will also donate £1,000 to Blueprint for All from its fee.

These donations provide funding to help more young people from under-represented backgrounds enter, and stay in, architecture careers.

Our goal was to raise over £20,000 for Blueprint for All in the first 12 months of the partnership. We are delighted we achieved our Year 1 target in just 10 months and have now surpassed £25,000.
